The Detox Dilemma podcast is getting an upgrade! Say hello to the Toxin Free(ish) podcast. Don’t worry, everything you loved about The Detox Dilemma podcast is here to stay, but a rebrand was to bring true alignment across my business and podcast.

If you’re new here, I’m your host, Wendy. Today, we’re going behind the scenes on how my journey from an Environmental Toxins Attorney to a Clean Living Coach influenced this pivotal change. I always want to keep you guys in the loop as changes are happening. So, let’s chat about the reasons behind this rebrand and the future of the podcast!

In this episode:

  • Why the original name led to confusion
  • How the new identity better aligns with my mission of promoting toxin-free living, non-toxic products, and clean beauty
  • Why the “ish” is especially important to me.
  • Thank you to our incredible listeners!

Rebranding The Detox Dilemma

I am the DIY queen. I work full-time. I’m a mom to two kids, and about a year and a half ago, I got this crazy idea to start a podcast. I bought the launch software, hired an editor, threw together a website, and just started recording. I had no idea what I was doing. I listen back to those first few episodes where I was reading a script, and I cringe to think that people still listen to those. I’ve learned so much about podcasting, interviewing, what I love and want to talk about, and what’s important to my audience.

It’s because of my audience I can be here today announcing this rebrand, the Toxin Free(ish) podcast, and a brand new website. I have a brand new shopping guide, blog, and digital assets coming soon, and that’s because you used my links. You supported my business. You took my courses. You became Young Living customers. I took the income I was making from your support and hired an expert to build a new website for me to better serve you.

The “ish”

The reason behind the rebrand and name change is I wanted it to be easy for people to find me online, and I wanted it to represent who I am and the things I talk about. I have always had toxin-free (ish) as part of the things I talk about regularly because perfection sucks. Nobody should strive for a perfect toxin-free life because it does not exist. Trying will stress you out anyway.

I’ve always preached that everyone needs their ‘ish’. I go to San Diego to visit my girlfriends, and my margaritas are my ish. I know Mexican food has all kinds of seed oils in it, and I don’t care. That’s what I want for all of you. I want you to care and embrace the clean things you bring into your home and that you can do something about. You can feel empowered and educated and know that you are doing the right thing for the health of you and your family.

But then I want you to go live your life. I want that balance for everyone. It’s unacceptable for companies to be slowly poisoning us with all of these toxins in these products with no care for our safety or our health. But we’re also not going to let that issue control our lives. We’re going to do the best we can with the information we have and where we can control it. Then, we’re just going to be free and happy and go enjoy our lives outside our homes!

The idea of having a toxin-free(ish) lifestyle has always been what I have preached. By some crazy circumstance, nobody owned the website, trademark, or name, and it was all there for me to take! www.toxinfreeish.com is the new website. You can still get to my shopping guide at www.toxinfreeshoppingguide.com. My new website is so beautiful – I hope you go look at it!

I have big plans for my new brand and website. From the very bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!! Thank you so much for supporting the Toxin Free(ish) podcast and brand! Whether you’re a longtime supporter or a new listener, thank you for being part of this journey!
