This may very well be the last podcast episode that I record, or maybe not. I’m not sure. I am open to whatever happens in the future, but the Toxin Free (ish) Podcast is officially going on hiatus.

I already made this announcement to my email list and on Instagram, and a lot of the reaction is, “Then what are you gonna be doing?”

This final (for now) episode will give you a little explanation of why I am taking a hiatus, but also want you to hear this: I am not going anywhere.

Toxin Free-ish is not going anywhere. There are some really amazing things in the works for 2026. It’s just not going to include new episodes on the podcast.

It’s Been a Journey Since Starting in 2023

I launched this podcast three years ago on Valentine’s Day. I have recorded 138 episodes, and I am ridiculously proud of that. As somebody who has ADHD and a lot of passions, I start and don’t finish a lot of things. The fact that, for three years, I have consistently recorded a new podcast episode every single week, with very few breaks, makes me really proud of myself.

I recorded things that I believed and still believe will positively impact your health, your mindset, your holistic lifestyle, and your life in general. It’s one thing to just record content for content’s sake, but to pour your heart into something consistently for so long, I’m just proud.

When I very first started recording, I sucked at this. I had a script and read it word-for-word. The minute the camera would pop up, something would come over me, and I would perform. I was like Wendy, the teacher.

I just really wanted you, my listener, to understand that I knew what I was talking about and I could deliver facts and information. I wanted you to know that you could rely on me to provide that information, well researched and explained, in really simple terms.

That was my goal: to make this really complicated world of toxin-free living just a little less scary and easier to understand, so you could make simple, easy choices in your life.

Three years later, I can look back at those episodes and see all of the growth that happened. The more you do something, the better you get at it.

Now, I am very comfortable with a microphone and interviewing people. I have met people on this podcast whom I have interviewed as brand founders, and they are now dear friends of mine. If it wasn’t for this podcast, I wouldn’t have those friendships.

Why I’m Walking Away (for now)

I’m not stepping away from this podcast because I don’t love it. I really love it.

So that leads me to the other question I’ve been getting: “Wendy, if you love it so much, why are you walking away?” There are a couple of reasons.

1. I already have tons of content.

The first one is that over the last three years, I have created a mountain of content. Just so much content that I kind of forgot to carve the path along the way.

Sometimes when you create and create and create, things get really hard to find. A lot of the time, people would ask me very simple questions about where to find things on a specific topic. Or they would ask a basic question about a topic I’ve talked about a lot, simply because they couldn’t find it in all the content on my website.

From a business perspective, my entire brand and identity make toxin-free living simpler and help me keep your mindset less stressed. That’s the ish. We’ll be clean, but we don’t have to be crazy.

But then, when you can’t find things, that’s problematic. I knew I needed to take a step back from creating new content, so I could build that path up the mountain, with a starting point and an end point, and everything in between is very simple to find. I can’t do that while I’m creating new content.

2. I started a new job.

The other reasons are very personal. I started a new job. I’ve talked a little bit about it, but I haven’t been super open about what I’m doing.

I’m working for a startup company that I deeply believe will change the world in very positive ways in environmental pollution regulation.

I’m not ready to talk about exactly what I’m doing and what the company is, but I will at some point. I am really pouring my heart into that project, and that is taking my time and attention, as it should. It’s paying my bills and taking care of my family. Starting that job has freed up the time I used to spend on my business.

3. My daughter is being homeschooled.

My daughter, who’s a high school freshman, is homeschooled now. We pulled her out of public school. It’s been discussed for many years. I always knew we would end up here. But now that we’re here and I have a high schooler who’s homeschooled, that requires my support and attention as well.

I have some personal time constraints that have forced me to make hard decisions about where I spend my time. But that doesn’t mean I have zero time for Toxin Free (ish) going forward.

What to Expect From Me in 2026

I absolutely still have time for this business, and it is still very much a priority for me. I’m just going to be using my time differently. So here’s what you can expect from me in 2026.

Organized Instagram Content

The first thing you’re going to start seeing almost immediately, starting in January, is some really good content on my Instagram that organizes things by topic. It’s going to be really simple for you to understand the basics of:

You’ll start seeing more of that structural type of education, making things really simple for you to find on my Instagram. That’s something you’ve all wanted me to do for a very long time—I’m finally taking the time to prioritize that.

Toxin Free Shopping Guide Update

On February 14th (that’s the goal, at least!), you’ll see a huge update to the Toxin Free Shopping Guide with a new browse ability, new expanded pages, and a new organization that I have been working on for almost a year. I’m so happy we took the time to go slow and to build it the right way.

Toxin Free in 3 Course Update

Something else that you are going to see from me is pouring into my Toxin Free in 3 community. This is my signature course. While I have always launched it once a year, it is now officially open year-round.

Along those lines, Label Reading Made Simple-ish, the third module of Toxin Free in 3, is available for purchase separately. That will also be open and available at any time. Anybody can get into my community at any time. You do not have to wait for a launch.

Brand Collaborations

I am deeply passionate about what I do, the brands that I work with, and the things that I believe in. I’m not going to step back from supporting brands like the Truly Free Marketplace. I’m very passionate about growing this anti-Amazon, low-tox community where you can buy cleaner brands all in one place. I’m really working hard to help support that moving forward.

I’m going to be highlighting the brands I’m working very closely with, including:

I’m not backing away from all of the small, clean business brand support and consultations that I do.

Thank You ❤️

Let me wrap this up by saying thank you. Thank you for being a listener of the Toxin Free (ish) podcast. Thank you for your support. Thank you for being here. Every review, every comment, every email, they all mean so much to me.

The last three years on this microphone have truly been the best. I don’t think this is goodbye forever. I think this is just see you later.

If you want to reach me, you can still get me by email and DMs. The one thing I hope for most is that your life is becoming just a little bit less toxic.
