Did you know you can change your bone structure as an adult? And no, you don’t need Botox or cosmetic procedures to make this possible. Today, Allison Wise, the Instagram sensation known as the Fingertip Facelift, joins us to share her incredible journey from Groupon Botox deals to pioneering a toxin-free skincare revolution.
With just nine minutes a day, you can literally change your face. With just your fingertips, this method promises accessible facial rejuvenation and a deeper understanding of the body’s interconnected systems.
Allison has carefully constructed this routine to release tension and change your relationship with yourself. Think about it: If we take nine minutes every day to give ourselves the love of tension release intentionally, what else might that do for our self-esteem?
From Gua Sha to mewing to face taping, we’re covering some of the latest trends in the anti-aging world. The benefits of Allison’s techniques go beyond aesthetics. People have seen symptoms like tension headaches and acne drastically reduced from this practice!
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
- Allison’s journey into facial massage
- The difference between the nine-minute fingertip facelift and Gua Sha
- The range of symptoms that the fingertip facelift can alleviate
- Frownies vs. face taping
- Facial massage as a form of self-love
Why Botox Isn’t the Only Answer
If you’ve ever stood in front of the mirror and noticed a new line or a little more sagging than last year, you know the pull. The beauty industry has spent decades convincing us that aging is a problem to be solved and that Botox is the most obvious solution.
It’s everywhere. It’s normalized. And for a lot of people, it feels like the logical next step.
But here’s what most people don’t think to ask: what exactly are we injecting?
Botox is derived from botulinum toxin, one of the most acutely toxic substances known to science. In cosmetic use, it’s administered in small, purified doses, but it works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles beneath your skin.
That’s what smooths the wrinkles. The muscle simply can’t move.
Beyond the active ingredient, Botox injections typically contain human albumin (a protein derived from human blood) and sodium chloride as carrier ingredients. And while the FDA has approved its cosmetic use, that doesn’t mean it’s without risk. Reported side effects range from bruising and headaches to drooping eyelids, and in rare cases, the toxin can spread beyond the injection site.
Because Botox wears off every three to six months, maintaining results means returning for repeat injections indefinitely. Over time, repeated muscle paralysis can actually cause the surrounding muscles to overcompensate, potentially accelerating the very aging it’s meant to prevent.
This isn’t about fear-mongering or shaming anyone’s choices. If you’ve done Botox, you’re in very good company — Allison herself started there. Her entry point was a Groupon deal, and at the time, it felt like a smart, accessible option.
But the more she learned about what she was putting into her body, the more she wanted to find something different. Something that worked with her body instead of temporarily switching parts of it off.
What Causes Wrinkles?
People will not believe Allison when she says that your wrinkles are caused by tension. How can tight muscles not make tight skin?
Imagine you have a balloon representing your forehead muscles. You fill it with air, and then you slap a piece of tape on it and let the air out. The tape will wrinkle up and get all crinkly. That’s what’s happening with your forehead muscles. Tension in the muscles is quite literally shrinking or shortening those facial muscles.
The relationship between the muscles and the skin isn’t the same. When the muscle shrinks, you get all this extra skin or the tape making these forehead lines. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
You have all these tubes in your face and, more importantly, tubes in your neck. Everything that comes to your head goes through your neck. When you breathe in, the oxygen goes to your lungs. Your lungs do the magic stuff, and then the oxygen has to go back up through your neck to make your skin glow. Everybody knows that your skin needs oxygen to glow. Nothing can flow when you have all this tension. To glow, we need to flow!
That is why tension is the root of every single skin problem. When you look in the mirror and you don’t like X, Y, and Z, tension is the root cause. When you know how to release the tension, then everything can glow and everything can flow.
Anti-Aging Industry
Botox, fillers, and skin care are all geared toward making you look younger. It’s crazy the amount of money that people spend on chemicals to literally peel off their skin and destroy it for a temporary look. They don’t realize the long-term damage they’re doing to their skin. I always preach the importance of taking care of your skin. I recommend some amazing, clean, toxin-free skincare in my Toxin-Free Shopping Guide.
People want things that are good for wrinkles. Bakuchiol and frankincense are really good, but everyone’s different. I have friends who have killer skin and only use tallows. I have other people who can’t do the tallow and are all about castor oil. I love that people can use whatever products they want in Alison’s program. Just please use something clean!
9 Minutes is All You Need
People who have gone through Allison’s program have experienced many benefits other than using the Fingertip Facelift to reduce the appearance of wrinkles! Relief from headaches and migraines is a common result of her program. Some people had their acne melasma cleared up. It relieves head, ear, neck, and tongue tension. It’s worth the nine-minute daily routine!
Remember, you glow from the inside out. Your external appearance reflects how well you take care of the inside of your body. A nine-minute daily Fingertip Facelift sets a healthy foundation. If you feel good on the inside, you have no choice but to glow outwardly.
I enjoyed this conversation with Allison so much, and I can’t wait to start adding the Fingertip Facelift to my daily routine. Check out her program for a cleaner approach to younger-looking skin.
