My first choice is always 100% botanical, synthetic-free perfume without Alcohol Denat. My second choice includes botanicals plus some nature-identical synthetic molecules.
Because truly botanical options are limited, I’ve also included select popular-requested perfumes that use Alcohol Denat. or “safer” synthetics. While these avoid known concerns like phthalates, parabens, lilial, and musk ambrette, they still contain petroleum-derived synthetic fragrance ingredients with limited long-term safety data.

While botanical based perfume is the cleanest option, I understand that some people want a synthetic option that is safe-er than conventional. While we don’t have a lot of safety data on newer safe synthetic molecules, DIME stands above the rest because they use organic alcohol that is not denatured, making it just a little bit clean-er than the others.
