In my opinion, your cookware should last you decades.  Non-toxic ceramic coated options will not last and some won't last you past 6 months.

Cast iron and stainless steel are great options, but if you want something that is a little easier to use, acts like a non-stick, but has no coating.. the Titanium Pro Pan line from Our Place is hands down the best available.
